Tactical armed reaction
When an alarm goes off and our operation centre confirms it, a reaction officer is sent in one of our patrol cars. They investigate, deal with the threat, reset the alarm and secure the premises, and bring in the SAPS if it's serious.

Guarding and access control
Fully trained, PSIRA-registered armed and unarmed guards for businesses, residential estates and gated communities of every size, with patrols inside and out, by vehicle or on foot.
Alarms, CCTV and off-site monitoring
We sell and install security systems that signal straight to the SRU operation centre, and we monitor CCTV cameras.

K9 unit
Narcotics, explosives, tracking, and search and rescue dogs, on standby 24/7. Our explosives dogs work with the diplomatic service, and our narcotics dogs help keep drugs out of schools.
Stolen vehicle recovery
SRU partnered with Tracker and grew into one of the industry's leading recovery agencies.
VIP and close protection
Bodyguards, close protection teams, advance teams, security drivers and escorts, matched to each client's risk assessment. Most of our close protection officers come from the armed forces or the SAPS.
High-value asset protection
Cargo and mobile asset protection, high-value armed escorts, and protecting people and assets during strikes, unrest and illegal mining.
Special events
Sporting events, private parties, exhibitions and conferences, corporate functions and concerts. We inspect the venue and assess the risks before the day.
Investigations and intelligence
Private and corporate investigations, and insurance anti-fraud work, done strictly within the privacy and data protection laws.
Anti-poaching unit
Based at Waterberg Predator Park (formerly Caesars Bush Palace) in Vaalwater, tracking down poachers and protecting rhinos.

Ambulance services, hospital transfers, permanent site deployments, and medical standby at events, through LifeMed / SVTA Emergency Services.

Rescue and response from the air.
Water rescue
Water rescue specialists, and safety cover for events on the water. On Harties, the SRU Maritime Search and Rescue unit answers call-outs on the dam and the Crocodile River.
