SRU Maritime Search and Rescue
On Hartbeespoort Dam and the Crocodile River, our maritime team answers calls about people in trouble on the water, often alongside the police water wing, the NSRI and the Marine Law Enforcement Unit.

Man rescued after his canoe capsized on the dam
Residents of Birdwood Estate heard a man screaming for help in the middle of the dam. SRU's maritime team and the police water wing reached him in time and pulled him out of the water.
